Carafe Empoli Italy Genie bottle in amber glass

This very beautiful and large amber (orange-yellow) molded glass carafe will add a nice colorful touch to any interior style. Alone or in a collection, it will attract all eyes! And perhaps it will grant your wishes since it is also called "genie bottle"; ) we no longer present it, but i'm going to do it anyway; ) so it's a glass carafe from empoli, the "city du verre”, an italian city renowned for its wine and from 1950 for its colored and textured glass. In theory, it is a carafe for decanting wine, in theory only, because today (and even probably at the time) it is rather used as an (extremely) decorative object in its own right. It dates from the 50s or 60s. Its glass has a nice relief in the shape of bubbles (with a slightly grainy appearance for the lower bubbles of the belly) on the entire carafe and its cap which reflect the light nicely. Its very high, very fine, very slender shape, which ends with this magnificent pointed cap, immediately catches the eye. The cap is therefore present, which is no longer systematically the case. It is intact, without a chip, up to its tip, which is even less often the case. And the icing on the cake: it still has its translucent plastic seal which allows it to hold securely in the opening of the bottle (apparently without this seal, the cap no longer holds). Obviously this seal is a little tired, the plastic is damaged in places, and would no longer allow daily handling, but it will still last for a while (and I think it is not too complicated to find one in stores ). The bottle is also in very good condition, no cracks, no chips, the only tiny, invisible irregularities are original glass molding defects. Clean inside, it has probably never been filled. The carafe measures 34 cm in height, 51 cm with the stopper, for a maximum diameter of 13 cm.
