Art nouveau shelf in curved wood thonet n°4. Designated in the "notenetagère" catalogue, it is originally part of the furniture intended for the world of music (conservatories, public or private music rooms, etc.). This example no longer bears a label but the attribution is formal insofar as thonet was the creator and the only manufacturer of this model / design! It appears around nineteenth in the catalog and will be produced until 1905 ca in this large format. The color is original, called "american mahogany".
