Description
Baptistin (Batistin) SPADE (1891-1969) B. SPADE is a decorator and interior designer and designer of furniture. He has decorated some thirty liners from the years 1930 to 1967. Pair of bridge armchairs from the liner Ile de France-Epoque Art Deco Signed "B. spade" under the seat with inscription "Ile de France" with black chalk on one of the armchairs Provide a re-stamping and a refreshment of the wood panelling A modern fabric covered the armchairs. It was removed to let appear what is probably the period fabrics. Following this manipulation the rest of the fabric of the backrest was not possible because too fragile.
