Description
Mat Baloutch prayer, in wool on wool tied hand and natural colors, beginning of the XX-th century in very nice condition, minor signs of wear. These rugs are and were forged by the nomadic Baloch tribes in Afghanistan, Russia and Central Asia, in wool of sheep, but also tremendously with off-white for camel wool, these rugs are often dark and dull, but also very clear as our model. The décor is geometric, on the whole, including the Mihrab, which indicates the Qiblah, the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca. Width: 98 cm x length: 143 cm This carpet was cleaned professionally and ecologically. The term Kazak is used generically to classify a group of heterogeneous carpet from varied areas of the 19th-century Kazak Caucase.Les were formed entirely in wool, it was velvet long and shiny, and large patterns rugs colourful geometric type depending on the production area. During the 20th century, it has rediscovered the beauty so many colors as original and whimsical drawings, always made of memory by the women who get passed them from mother to daughter, passing over the centuries this great tradition.
