Description
A yonkyoku byobu screen composed of four leaves in the red background Japan lacquer. The leaves are decorated with highlights gold. On each of them on the front, figure a tripartite composition, bottom up, a dog Foo, an outdoor scene showing three characters in different situation and above, in a locket, the attributes needed for the calligraphy, the ceremony tea or other activities related to the daily life of letters. On the back, the four leaves are adorned with Japanese calligraphy. Japanese work of the era Meiji (1868-1912), State compatible with the age of the piece.
