Rob Parry for Gelderland minimalistic lounge chair, The Netherlands 1960's

Metal and teak frame with new cushions and new off white upholstery. The metal fame is a bit rusted. Seat height34 cm, seat depth45 cm. With minimal use of materials, parry managed to make an elegant and spacious design. The combination of these properties and the use of metal is a perfect example of dutch mid-century modern design. In his career he designed many items. Famous are for example his lotus lounge chair and sofa, f& t dining or side chair, coffee table and parlez dining table. Together with friso kramer, martin visser, cees braakman and wim rietveld, rob parry is among the best and famous designers of the dutch midcentury.
