Norman wardrobe of Louis XV period wedding with rich sculptures and mouldings. This wedding wardrobe was commissioned by the bride's father. Indeed, this cupboard served as a dowry offered to the newlyweds. The importance and prominence of the sculptures were a proof of the donor's social importance. Here, the sculptures are thin and dense describe bouquets of swans in love, intended to represent the love that the bride and groom will have. The wardrobe is also decorated with flowers on the top of the doors and the ledge. The moulded doors blend beautifully with the finesse of the work of cabinetmaking shot on the sculptures. The wardrobe rests on 4 arched feet dressed in acanth leaf, typical of Louis XV furniture. Painted white, there is also a work with the brush to refield that has been done. The beautiful patina is highlighted by the shades of gold and silver. Moreover, this same rechampi gives even more relief to the sculptures and mouldings of this wardrobe. The interior was left in its raw oak color. The width of the ledge is 140cm.
