Superb model depicting the very detailed ship "the sirius" having served as a boat for the adventure of tintin and the treasure of rackham the red. The sirius appeared in georges price's attached book in 1896, "the three disappeared from sirius." this book inspired hergé who gave the sirius a role in his exciting adventure. For hull and construction, different types of wood were used to bring out as much detail as possible. The small details and ornaments are partly made of metal and plastic. Format: 60 X 31 X 13 cm.
