This napoleon III flower screen in metal was found by marie du sordet during the chasse aux objets for affaire conclue, broadcast on france 2 and was then restored during the show la vie des objets. Originally it was a screen for a stove in alsatian earthenware. Pretty sheet metal with a sandblasted effect, its patterns of roses in a basket are very well done, it will bring such an elegant touch to your interior! Eugénie, an artisan from perche restored this magnificent room by cleaning it while preserving the patina, the paint gaps have been filled and this screen is now protected from the effects of time. Marie imagines it perfectly to hide a television, a radiator, or any other object, but also to create a small separation in a bedroom or living room. It is of a timeless style, classic and modern at the same time! Characteristics: Dimensions: width: 84 cm – height: 115 cm. Materials: metal. Style: napoleon III. Did you know. It is on the side of china that the screen appears for the first time. Originally, it is mainly designed to limit drafts in a home while creating privacy in large rooms. It will know a more decorative dimension from the fifteenth century, when the british make it appear in europe. It is adorned with ornaments and made both a useful object but also a real element of decoration, which enriches the interiors. In the 16th century, screens invested the churches, in the 18th century the living rooms to create decorative separations.
