The 19th century developing the notion of historical heritage had very early nostalgia for a fantasy middle ages, where the vast halls of castles were decorated with coats of arms, coats of arms and tapestries inhabited by monsters and chimeras. From the second quarter of the 19th century, taste wanted to recreate this mesmerizing ideal in interiors that had gained enviable comfort. The craftsmen responded to this fashion by deploying treasures of creativity. Our fireplace set is the perfect example. All bronze, the channels are crowned with a menacing head between the raptor and the fawn on a lion's paw: a griffin in short. Firewalls and channels are in very good condition and will fit perfectly for a city apartment fireplace. Possible delivery worldwide. Delivery worldwide.
