Description
Biscuit bust representing alexandre brongniart, son of the architect alexandre-théodore brongniart, after jean-antoine houdon, "the sculptor of lights". The bust rests on a blue and gold base. The stamp indicates "porcelaine de france" with a mark to be determined and the name "houdon" inscribed in hollow, mid-twentieth century. In very good condition with some minimal marks and a small wear of the gilding to note. Dimensions: 15 cm high (approx.).
