Description
Modernist oil landscape by swedish painter evert färhm (1901-1971). It was painted by an artist in the early 1960's. Handwritten image signed in the lower right corner. Made in oil technique on a plate. Preserved in the original period setting. The perfect addition to an interior in the scandinavian modern style. Bror evert färhm, born june 10, 1901, died in 1971, was a swedish painter. He was the son of the masters of painting john färhm and hilma nilsson. Färhm studied art at the althina painting school in stockholm in 1921-1923 and at the academy of fine arts in 1924-1928 and during study trips to france. He was awarded the prince's medal in 1927. He participated in the exhibitions of the group of four painters, and from 1932 in the skåne art society, and from 1938 in the exhibitions of the art society in helsingborg. His art consists mainly of scandinavian landscapes. Färhm is represented at the national museum in stockholm, the helsingborg museum and the prince eugene waldemarsudde.
