André-Aleth Masson (1919-2009), vase, ceramics enamelled, monogrammed and signed in hollow A. Masson a. 1950s. A ceramicist, sculptor, painter and engraver, André Aleth-Masson attended the school of fine arts in Rennes and then in Paris. In 1947, he joined the fontcarrade ceramics school near montpellier. His debut in paris in the 1950s gave rise to three solo exhibitions at the mai gallery in 1952, 1955 and 1961. As early as 1952, andré aleth-masson's successive participations in the exhibitions of the society of decorative artists of which he was a member until 1980 and the exhibitions of large-scale ceramic works through the movement of the "living wall", or as part of the commissions of the 1% in the 1960s-1970s will give way to the colorist painter in the 1980s: painted ceramics, painted wood cut wood, acrylic canvases and engravings from 1990.
