Solid wooden office chair. Most certainly red cedar. It is inscribed under the seat "koslowki frankfort - sept. 1 1951" The manufacturer's name and manufacturing date 1951. He was originally in the dining room of the u.s. Embassy in paris. Very massive and heavy chair, indestructible.
