Austin Suite sideboard

An amazing piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a chest of drawers by Austin Suite. The cabinet consists of a total of six drawers each one hand crafted and offering excellent storage while on each drawer front there is a beautiful handle crafted within the drawer front, within the central drawer there are two dividers creating three storage compartments with the drawer also bearing the Austin Suite makers mark, at the base the sideboard sits on four superb teak legs. The cabinet has been hand crafted by Austin Suite furniture and designed by Frank Guille who was one of Britain's finest mid-century designers. His work was defined by a dedication to function, utility and simplicity he first learned from English masters Robin Day and Gordon Russell with a later scholarship in Copenhagen he studied under one of the founders of Danish modern furniture design Kaare Klint as well as various commissions for the Royal college of art. The sideboard is a stunning and practical piece of mid century furniture with a fabulous look and design and also a practical piece of furniture with a variety of uses from a chest of drawers, sideboard. dressing table, desk or console that would suit any home or environment.
