Henri manuel is a french portrait photographer born on april 24, 1874 in paris and died on september 11, 1947 in neuilly-sur-seine. At the age of 26, at the beginning of his career, he opened alongside his brothers, lucien and gaston, a photography studio specializing in portraiture. Quickly gaining notoriety, he photographed the most well-known personalities of the time. His portraits were later very popular, especially in the press. He then founded his own press service (the universal reporting agency). His notoriety continues to increase, he works with the greats like man ray and then even comes to diversify his production. He is interested in fashion, advertising and institutional photography.
