Very nice bronze pocket vacuum cutter, representing thibault IV of champagne... Taittinger emblem... The origin of the champagne taittinger dates back to 1734, a champagne house was created by jacques fourneaux - around 1920, the maison fourneaux moved to rue du tambour in reims, in an old house where thibault stayed IV of champagne (1201-1253), raised at the court of the king, godson of philippe auguste, guerroie at the age of 13 in bouvines at the head of his army... In 1932 pierre taittinger acquired the estate, the champagne taittinger was born!
