Brass planter with integrated pedestal and aries heads

Period: ca. 1920-1950. An exceptionally large, unique and decorative planter/pot cover with a built-in pedestal. The planter has a classic round shape and is adorned with two ram heads with handles. The twisted pedestal is supported by a round pedestal that stands on four lion's feet. The whole thing talks about quality manufacturing. Although this piece looks like a solid brass piece, it is actually covered with brass (like many so-called 'brass' planters); an electrolysis technique that was applied massively from the 1920s. The underlying metal has been hammered. State: Very well. No damage. Some micro signs of use and traces of oxidation / thinning of brass in correspondence with age. Size: See photo.
