Description
Pair of biscuit busts depicting two children, Louise and Alexandre, normal Camille Tharaud. They are the children of the architect Alexandre-Theodore Brongniart, according to Jean-Antoine Houdon, "the sculptor of the Enlightenment". The busts rest on a blue and golden base. The stamp says "Tharaud, Limoges, France." Mid-20th century. Size: Alexander: 20 cm tall (approximately) Louise: 21 cm tall (approximately)
