Studio photograph of a dancer from jaipur maharajah ram singh II (1835-1880). Ram singh II was an enlightened monarch who built the first sewers of jaipur. He was also an excellent photographer. He left to his death thousands of photographs including well-staged self-portraits and portraits of the dancers and singers who officiated at his court. These photographs can be seen at the jaipur museum. Edition of 36 copies based on the original negative. Numbered pigment print of 30x40 cm made in paris by our master shooter on paper 260g archival ultrasmooth.
