Old hemp harvest tablecloth tinted in caribbean blue

Splendid grape tablecloth in hemp canvas, dense, textured and flexible at the same time flexible, from the artisanal weavings of the 19th century. Central seam with tiny stitches to assemble two one-meter strips. Imperceptible hems sewn by hand. These tablecloths were used to cover large tables gathering the harvesters at the end of the day. The red monograms embroidered with cross stitch in the corners or at the edge made it possible to recognize his own once the meal was over. We all have in mind these large late summer tables, friendly in the shade of the trees, which met for lunch between two grape harvests. The caribbean blue dye is handmade in our workshop.
