Sofa Frau Chesterfield

The chester sofa recalls the classic model of edwardian england, taken up by renzo frau in his first catalogue in 1912, inspired by the sofas and armchairs that populated the english clubs and country houses of the time. Since then, icon of the poltrona frau brand, chester is distinguished by the pleated armrests that worthily complete the rich upholstery of the coating, entirely executed by hand. The chester sofa has a suspension obtained by steel biconical springs, positioned by hand and attached to jute straps on a load-bearing structure made of dry beech. The padding of the seat is made of rubberized horsehair, while the backrest and armrests are made of hand-shaped vegetable horsehair. The seat cushions are made of goose feathers. The feet are spherical, in black lacquered beech finish. Dimensions: l208cm p91cm h67cm seat 43cm. Sofa in good condition, slightly damaged at armrests and scratches in places. Negotiable price.
