Marie Bernard is a collaboration between graphic designer Masja van Deursen and visual artist Serge Game. Based on the experiences in their separate practices they investigate their shared passion for the tactile use of colour and materials. Their approach is very intuitive and allows for both abstract and figurative results to emerge. The little fissures and imperfect overlaps, that are always present in the works, add to the images’ tension and tactility. In a broader sense they also refer to analogue qualities in general which are highly valued by the artists. All works are made to order so please allow 2-3 weeks before receiving your Marie Bernard wood collage. All works are handmade and also painted by hand.
