Marius Bessone ceramic lamp in Vallauris

Ceramic lamp, decorated in field with a geometric frieze, from Marius Bessone to Vallauris. Marius Bessone (1929-2001) collaborated with his wife Huguette in their workshop opened in Vallauris in 1954. Several techniques were experimented with by these two ceramists, including that of the field, with abstract motifs. This lamp foot, which can be dated from the 1960s-1970s, is signed under the base "M Bessone, Vallauris, handmade". The lampshade presented, stretched with wild silk, is the original one and therefore has traces of use. The lamp, with its lampshade, measures 48 cm in height. It's been re-electrified.
