Old oak monastery table in Arts & Crafts style, Dutch 1940s

Beautiful dutch oak monastery table in arts & crafts style from the 1940s. The base of this table has many features of the simplicity and proportions of the arts & crafts furniture of the past. This beautiful oak table has previously served in a monastery. After that it ended up in a cafe in holland, where the table top had to endure a lot. The remnants of the old lacquer layer of the oak top have been removed, the top has been sanded again and then varnished with three new layers of lacquer. Now this table is completely ready for use again! Because the base of the frame is in the middle, this table can also be used with a bench.
