Small decorative period frame signed at the bottom right of caroline cerres, pupil of pierre-joseph redouté representing a bouquet of wild flowers, roses and lisers. Mixed technique on cardboard. The preparation is in excellent state of preservation given the age of this realization (no yellowing of the bottom). This original work is distinguished by its quality of execution and the finesse of the line. The bottom of the image is slightly altered, however the signature and the mention "pupil of redouté" is clearly readable. Redouté's style is well recognizable in this achievement of one of his students. Pierre-joseph redouté (1759-1840) is a belgian painter, engraver, publisher and teacher, best known for his flower watercolours. In the service of empress josephine de beauharnais, he could exercise his talents by illustrating works with drawings of flowers from all over the world and drawing roses from the malmaison garden. In 1824, he edgy of drawings at the national museum of natural history in paris. Many female personalities follow his teaching. It is likely that this achievement was achieved within this framework. This realization dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The frame and the glass are old. Dimensions: 27 cm by 22 cm.
