Monoxyle alpine tabouret

A monoxyle alpine tabouret made of cembro pine or alpine pine. The seat is made of a single block of thick wood, the bark of which has been preserved. Provenance: haute-savoie, chablais, early 20th century. Very light scratches on the top of the seat. A mesmerizing object that is as much a sculpture as a piece of furniture, in the spirit of alexandre noll's work.
