Arkipelago lamp created in 1978 by the finnish designer timo sarpaneva who developed new techniques concerning glass for littala. Charlotte field in "scandinavian design": "sarpaneva develops another process for the archipelago series (1978): the trapping of bubbles of different sizes in the thickness of the glass, a bit like in a block of ice" H: 30cm with brass socket, 22cm only glass l: 11.5cm d: 9.8cm. Weight about 4kg. Very good vintage condition (some very slight oxidation stains on the brass socket) The electricity is original (no grounding, and wire a little burnished in places) Offal is not included in the sale.
