Description
Superb and rare wrought iron table lamp from atelier marolles by jean touret. The original structure of the lampshade is provided if desired. In superb condition. Size: Height: 43.5/44cm. Base width: 25cm. Spectacular and poetic work, very representative. Baroque and medieval spirit, on the sidelines of the industrial achievements of the time. To be picked up on paris 8, delivery possible. The book was produced in the 50s, under the artistic direction of jean touret. Jean touret began a career as a painter after his return from world war II and eventually turned to wood carving. He joined forces with the craftsmen of the city of marolles to create the atelier marolles and the pieces for which he is known today. He has dedicated his life to aesthetic experimentation with materials such as wood, paper, copper, zinc, bronze, plexiglass, ceramics and concrete.
