Pair of blue country stools

Pair of small country benches in solid wood. Handcrafted during the first half of the twentieth century, the old-fashioned way. The design is very simple, the style too, without too many moldings. These small benches remained for nearly a century in a farm in the sur of france where they served as booster seats. They were originally natural wood color, then they were painted red, then finally blue. The paint has taken on a beautiful patina over time, and the traces of wear and tear give a glimpse of red, then wood in places, which gives them a beautiful and unique look!
