Kurdish carpet, 138 cm x 258 cm, Iran (Kurdistan), 1960

Beautiful carpet of Iranian Kurdistan also called Rojhelat, western Iran, is hand-knotted and composed of a large geometric decoration knotted with ten large squares surrounded by a flowery braid. The whole is surrounded by a wide border followed by two braids.
