During the period of the first confinement, the imposed immobility resulted in a desire to revisit an outside world that was impossible to grasp other than by the thought or fleeting illusion of remembrance. Natural light, through its ripples during the hours of the day and its slow transformation during these two months took shape as a physical and solid matter by reaching inside the domestic space. As through a stained glass window, the eye perceives the materiality of light through stains of color and diffractions. This light, through the play of backlights and vibrations, refers to the visual sensation of phosphenes and the imprecise and nebulous images that memory and dream can make. This series has since been enriched with new paintings, which are added one by one to this body of work.
