Scandinavian stool by Poul Hundevad, Denmark 1950's

Scandinavian stool by poul hundevad from the 1950's. Made in denmark after an old model. Model ph43 "guldhøjstole" in solid oak and black leather. Beautiful state of conservation, the wood has been restored and the leather replaced. Superb quality of workmanship, this vintage piece is a classic of danish design, very well referenced in the history of design. Vintage leather will be supplied with it. The label on the back mentions "folding from the earlier bronze age about 1300 bc found in a funerary temple near vamdrup, a copy executed after the oldest piece of furniture preserved in scandinavia. Folded footprint: 50 X 48 X 18 cm.
