Luxo lamp designed in 1938. This lamp was created by the norwegian jacob jacobsen (1901-1996), importer of machine tools for the textile industry. The latter received an english-made lamp model in 1936. Struck by the ingenuity and design of the object, he bought the manufacturing license for the scandinavian countries, then redesigned it by simplifying its forms. Made in oslo, the luxo l1-p (literally "i give light" in latin) was officially born in 1938. It is established in schools, offices, industrial workshops, health sites, design and architectural agencies. In the 1940s, it was the most common working lamp in both europe and the united states. This model dates from the 1960s, reflector diameter: 21 cm, maximum height: 90 cm. Paint a little damaged on the offal day, electrification of origin verified with grounding.
