Butcher's table

Old butcher's log with footing and drawer. Very nice patina for this antique piece of furniture that will find its place in decorative furniture in a kitchen, an entrance or even a living room. It can of course keep its original function and serve as a worktop in a kitchen. The tray is double-sided, so you can opt for the log side or change to the industrial established side that is completely flat. Initially very dirty since the log tray had been flipped over and had been used as a workbench for many years, it was fully restored. The ball-side tray was sanded with fine grain finish and then protected by two layers of special matte colorless oil worktop suitable for food contact. Note that it has undergone many restorations over time. Indeed, there are many pieces of wood or corks grafted to plug the holes between the blocks of wood. This log is still usable as a worktop. The other side of the board was also sanded but slightly in order to keep this pretty old patina. The inside of the overly dirty drawer has been sanded and a vintage metal handle has been added. The furniture was completely cleaned and then protected with the same oil as the tray. This protects it from water/fat stains and enhances the tone and veining of the wood while leaving it with a warm raw wood side. Heavy furniture, more than 50 kilos. 89cm in total height. 100cm X 61cm X 17cm for log. 95cm X 56cm X 72cm high for footing. 41cm X 36cm X 7cm in height for the inside of the drawer.
