Typewriter of the famous American brand Remington of the 1940s with its black leather transport box (some traces of wear on the machine and the carrying suitcase as well as the leather handle are noteworthy but do not take away from its charm) since all the Bakelite is intact. Beautiful decorative object for your vintage interior, this typewriter can land on a piece of furniture, cling to the wall with 2 hooks but can perfectly serve for typing enthusiasts although this machine requires revision and repair since all keys are functional but the paper roll does not shift when entering a letter. A new tape will be needed for its proper operation and can be easily found online. Remington typewriters were the first machine to use a QWERTY keyboard, whose inventor Christopher Latham Sholes sold the rights to Remington Arms in 1872 for $12,000. In 1873, the American company marketed the first typewriters. In his song "Elaeudanla Teitéia" Serge Gainsbourg will evoke the Remington brand and its famous models of portable typewriters.
