wicker flower basket

Very beautiful woven wicker handle basket, Ikebana basket for floral arrangements, pretty partine. Hanakago basket of the so-called "Chinese" shape with a square section. Smoked bamboo woven and lacquered. The handle is formed by a band of bamboo interlaced with multiple knots. The rim is rolled. The bottom is woven and reinforced by two bands of bamboo. Work from Japan. Circa 1900 (Shōwa era).
