Book holder Rahle Syria 19th century

Koran door in carved wood, the upper part is decorated with mother-of-pearl pastilles, the upper openwork parts are surrounded by a fine marquetry edging. Small lack on one side in the upper part of the serrated edge (see photos). Gluing the assembly used for articulation is a little rough (photo). Spacing held by 2 pieces of braid that can be removed. Dimensions closed: 80/26 cm. Open dimensions: height: 64 cm leg spacing: 56 cm top spacing: 42 cm. Rare in this condition and also openwork.
