Ancient Cévenol dresser in chestnut – late 18th / early 19th century. Rare ancient dresser from the Cévennes region, made of solid chestnut, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, in the pure spirit of French popular art. Entirely handcrafted: visible traces of manual planing, old boards nailed together, and a deep original patina shaped by time. A sincere piece of furniture, born from rural craftsmanship, designed to last. The piece is made from a single unit. The lower section, closed by two panelled doors, offers a nice storage space, while the upper open section allows for the display of dishes, books, or objects. ⚠️ Condition: a piece of furniture over 200 years old, showing signs of age, some insect bites, a slightly damaged back, and on the top, a branch can be seen in the board (original), with no impact on solidity or stability (see the last three photos). These marks are part of its history and authenticity. The furniture is sound and stable, simply treated with linseed oil, respecting its patina. Dimensions: Height 202 cm – Width 105 cm – Depth 34.5 cm. Price: €1, 290. 📍 Collection in Pernes-les-Fontaines. 🚚 Delivery possible in France and internationally via the Selency carrier. 📁 Complete photo file available upon request.
