Portrait of an orientalist, mixed media on paper between (charcoal, black pencil, chalk...), it represents a character in traditional clothes wearing a long white dress, also called gandoura or tawb, with a keffiyeh that on the head held by an agal (the black circle that holds the scarf in place). It is signed lower right dufraisse is dated 1939. It has a golden glass frame. The work was probably made in a sketchbook at the time since the edges are not cut out.
