1970s Planta Coat Rack by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy

A nice styled black plastic free standing coat rack in iconic italian style! Designed by Giancarlo Piretti, manufactured by Castelli in Italy around 1970. The use of plastic is a typical mid-century innovation from Italy, that has taken over the world for a reason! This piece will add a beautiful vintage touch to any interior. The model is named “Planta”, meaning plant, thanks to it’s cylinder shape and curvy details. It has integrated umbrella holders as well, making this piece very versatile! It includes several hooks at the top and umbrella holders underneath. Marked underneath the base as shown in photos! The piece remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful vintage patina.
