Marcel Breuer Cesca cantilever chair, Italy, 1980s

Italian manufacture from the 1980s. Chrome-plated tubular steel frame. Caned seats and backrests on a curved, black-lacquered solid beech frame. The cantilever chair is characterized by all these elements and also by its cantilevered structure, an innovation for the time. A design icon, note the slight patina marks and very light oxidation spots on the chrome. Height 80 cm / Length 59 cm / Depth 48 cm / Seat at 47 cm.
