Beautiful large salad bowl or fruit bowl, probably a low soup tureen, made of fine earthenware type ironstone, produced by the HB CM (Hippolyte Boulenger Creil Montereau) factory in Choisy-le-Roi, model Elisabeth, from the early 20th century, around 1925-1935. Round shape resting on a small foot, decorated with a frieze of daisies and geometric patterns in transfer enhanced by hand in black, green, and orange tones. Side handles in the shape of lion heads holding a ring, a classic decorative element inspired by 19th-century models, here in a sober and elegant version. Diameter 23.5cm, width 30cm with handles, height 10.5cm. Very good overall condition with slight signs of use and patina; a small chip in the glaze on one handle ring and a manufacturing defect, glaze flaw, on an outer rim, discreet, slight patina on the edges and interior, subtle. Weighs approximately 1kg.
