Large executive desk Sibast in rosewood model 223 by Arne Vodder

Grand Scandinavian desk by the brand Sibast, model 223, designed by Arne Vodder. Top in rosewood. Two sets of two elongated drawers on each side with metal handles. A beautifully crafted piece with a very simple and elegant design. Referenced in the Design Museum Denmark under Number RP 11145. This desk is in good overall condition and shows authentic patina. There are three minor signs of use: two small veneer losses on the front of one drawer, a lighter mark measuring 15x8 cm on the top, and a gradual discolouration on the upper right corner. These signs of life are very easy to diminish: applying a nourishing wood product or tinted wax will suffice to nourish the rosewood, even out the shades, and make these marks invisible. A magnificent piece that will regain its shine with a simple finishing care. P.S.: I am also selling a matching Sibast armchair (model 431) to be seen in my listings.
