Period: ca. 1960. These three framed tropical bird prints are beautiful decorative pieces. The prints depict birds painted by the famous jacques barraband. Barraband was a great french zoological illustrator who worked with levaillant to create the magnificent monograph entitled "histoire naturelle des perroquets". Barraband's work was impressive enough that he was hired as a decorator by napoleon. The prints have been framed in vintage bois d'oré frames. Below the birds you can see the name of the bird, the name of the artist and two of them indicate the printer (langlois and rousset). The birds are called: l'ara noir à trompe, le perroquet à tête grise, le manucode male. Condition: good. The prints and colors are still very bright and clear. There are some oxidation/age marks on the frames, especially the one with the red bird. This same print has some small yellowish spots on the background of the paper. Dimensions: 33 cm high, 25.5 cm wide
