Painting "Life in the Ksar"

Painting depicting life in the Ksar of Ghardaia in Algeria. Ghardaia is the center of the Mzab Valley, where the majority of Mozabites live. Gateway to the Algerian desert, Ghardaia was the center of commerce in the south of the country. Its importance is reflected in particular by the thousand-year-old ksar. Painting purchased by the previous owner directly from an artist in Ghardaia, in pairs, the painting is signed. The work depicts women in traditional Mozabite dress, these outfits made it possible to distinguish married women from unmarried women, who revealed their faces. The painting is in excellent condition and the measurements include the frame.
