Seat height 40 cm. The morris armchair was invented by the englishman william morris in the late nineteenth century. Since then, many variants have been made with always the same basic structure. It refers to a type of seat whose backrest is reclinable thanks to an ingenious rack system. This rest chair can be transformed into a chaise longue when a footrest is added. Originally, its rectilinear and refined structure, made of traditional materials, is inspired by the arts and crafts style. The flat, reclining and rectangular backrest consists of a series of horizontal slats. The large flat armrests overhanging extend to the back of the backrest. At their end is a rack with notches where a wooden or brass bar is inserted. The latter serves as a support for the backrest and thus allows the adjustment of its inclination. The arms are perforated with vertical bars or spindles. The front feet usually fall flat. Clean, fast and neat delivery on laon / reims / amiens. Other region via cocolis.
