Louis XVI period chest of drawers, stamped Caumont

Louis XVI period chest of drawers in mahogany and mahogany veneer, opening with three drawers on the front. It rests on 4 tapered and fluted legs. The rounded front uprights are decorated with grooves and rough edges. The right rear pillars have a slight projection and are also grooved and roughened. Small particularity of this chest of drawers, the sides are veneered in a diamond shape. Beautiful and simple ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronzes. The locks are original. It is topped with beige carrara marble veined with gray with period projections. Stamped on the right front upright, it is marked with the jurande hallmark of carpenters and cabinetmakers; h X w X d 85 X 124 X 55cm.
