Large jug-shaped vase in glazed stoneware, signed “Les Grottes de Dieulefit”. Origin: Drôme Provençale, France. A very beautiful French artisan piece with sculptural and organic lines, probably dating from the 1950s to 1970s. This large decorative jug is appealing with its slender silhouette, wide flared neck, and typical spout of Dieulefit productions. The nuanced glaze blends sandy, pink, and cream tones with a delicate speckled effect, offering a lot of softness and depth to the material. A piece that is both rustic and modernist, perfect for a wabi-sabi, Mediterranean, or minimalist interior. In very good vintage condition overall. Note: a “lack of glaze” from origin at the base of the foot (visible in the photos), without affecting the solidity or aesthetics of the whole. Signature under the base: “Les Grottes de Dieulefit”. Dimensions: Height: 31.5 cm. Width: 25 cm. Depth: 16 cm. Opening diameter: 15 cm. An authentic piece full of character, ideal as a decorative object on its own or used as a large vase.
