4 Villeroy & Boch blue deep plates, Burgenland model

Set of 4 soup plates from Villeroy & Boch Mettlach, "Burgenland" collection, blue. Stamped "Villeroy & Boch Mettlach / Made in Germany Saar / 'Burgenland' / Mettlacher Kupferdruck Unterglasur" (green stamp, 1959 to 1970). Blue monochrome decoration on a cream-white background: a romantic riverside landscape, finely detailed, lush blooms on the rim. Gently scalloped border enhanced with a relief. From 1964 to 2001, Villeroy & Boch periodically reissued its famous Burgenland model, with different landscapes. The plates offered here date from the 1960s. In very good condition: no accidents, no traces of use, some stains under the edge (see detailed photos). Diam. 23 cm.
